Denver police report four serious car crashes over weekend

The Denver Police Department are investigating four car accidents on Saturday and Sunday that resulted in serious or fatal injuries.

The first accident was reported Saturday at 2 p.m. in the 2800 block of South Federal Boulevard. The two-vehicle crash resulted in a male driver being transported to the hospital. He was later pronounced dead.

Another accident occurred before 10 p.m. Saturday between a motorcycle and a car. Officers arrived on the scene at East Colfax Avenue and North Logan Street.

The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Their condition is unknown.

A pedestrian-vehicle collision was reported Sunday at 1:30 a.m. on Interstate 70 westbound at North Pecos Street. A vehicle hit two pedestrians walking on the shoulder of the roadway.

Both pedestrians were transported to a hospital with serious injuries. Their conditions are unknown.

DPD reported a single-vehicle crash Sunday at 3:30 a.m. The crash, on Interstate 25 northbound at 6th Avenue, resulted in serious injuries.

The investigations of the crashes are ongoing. Anyone with information regarding any of the accidents is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-7867.
