Denver police search for suspected three time bank robber

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers released a photo Tuesday of a man suspected to have committed three bank robberies in the last month.

A Key Bank in Thornton was robbed Monday at approximately 10:34 a.m. The robber presented a note to the teller and then fled the scene south on foot, according to police. The bank is at 3505 E. 104th Ave.

The man who robbed the Key Bank is also believed to have robbed a US Bank on Aug. 24 and a Chase Bank on Aug. 21. Both of the previous robberies occurred in Englewood, at 101 Englewood Pkwy and 3435 S. University Blvd respectively.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male in his 20s. He is approximately 5-feet-7-inches tall with a medium build.

During Monday’s robbery, the suspected was wearing a black Chicago Bulls hoodie, blue jeans, a green baseball hat and a white face mask.

Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-7867. Tipsters may remain anonymous and can earn an award up to $2,000.
