Rock climber rescued after falling 40 feet in Eldorado Canyon State Park

A 24-year-old rock climber was rescued Sunday after he fell 40 feet in Eldorado Canyon State Park, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said.

Rescue crews helped evacuate the Louisville climber after he fell shortly before noon.

He was brought to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, the sheriff’s office said.

The rescue lasted about two hours.
