Dead snowboarder found in Blue River in Breckenridge

The body of a man wearing snowboarding gear was found in the Blue River in Breckenridge on Monday, the Breckenridge Police Department announced.

A passerby called police to report the body at 1:54 p.m. in the area of the river adjacent to the satellite parking lot, police said.

The cause and manner of death are unknown.

The victim was identified Tuesday, but his identity has not yet been released to the public, police said.

Denver police arrest two suspects in connection to homicide

Police said the victim is a white male with dark skin, around 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes, multiple tattoos and was wearing snowboarding boots and pants when found.

The Summit County Coroner’s Office is investigating the death.
