Denver to celebrate Hanukkah with drive-in menorah lighting

The Chabad Denver North Jewish Life Center is hosting a drive-in menorah lighting Sunday night in celebration of the fourth night of Hanukkah.

The lighting will allow Denver’s Jewish community to celebrate together from the comfort of their own cars while following COVID-19 public safety regulations.

“Judaism values the sanctity of life above all else,” said Rabbi Mendel Popack with the Jewish Life Center.

“While in-person events are not possible, Chabad is innovating to bring the light and joy of the holiday to everyone while preserving the health of all involved.”

The event will be held from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. in the Stanley Marketplace overflow parking lot.
