Aurora PD investigating homicide

The Aurora Police Department (APD) is investigating a homicide that occurred Friday afternoon, officials said. 

Officers were dispatched to the southeast corner of North Beeler Street and East Colfax Avenue after receiving multiple reports of a shooting at 12:34 p.m. Friday, APD officials said. 

Officers located an adult male who was suffering from a gunshot wound in a vehicle in the 1500 block of Beeler Street, officials said.

The man was pronounced dead on scene, officials said. 

Information about the victim will be released at a later date by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.

No arrests have been made as of 6 p.m. Friday, but investigators are currently gathering information to identify a suspect, officials said. 

Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding the homicide to contact the Denver Metro Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.

Anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a suspect is eligible for a $2,000 reward.
