Both directions of I-25 near Loveland close for several hours for major crash, fuel spill
Interstate 25 was closed for several hours in both directions east of Loveland on Friday morning because of a crash involving two semitrucks and a vehicle, and a fuel spill, the Colorado State Patrol said.
The interstate was closed about 6:20 a.m. between Highway 402 (Exit 255) and Highway 34 (Exit 257).
One southbound lane reopened about 10:40 a.m. and northbound lanes reopened at 1 p.m.
The crash happened in the northbound lanes near the County Road 20E bridge, CSP said.
One of the semis jackknifed and the passenger vehicle was between the two semitrucks.
A passenger vehicle in the southbound lanes was hit by debris from the crash.
CSP said there were no injuries.
CSP said the interstate would be closed for at least five hours for investigation, cleanup and to repair barriers in the construction zone.
