3 injured following explosion and fire at Greeley apartment Friday
Three people were injured during an explosion at an apartment complex in Greeley on Friday.
Greeley fire crews responded to an apartment complex on the 1300 block of 9th Street at 2:15 a.m. after reports of an explosion and ensuing fire.

A total of 20 fire personnel and two paramedics from three engines, two ladders, two battalion chiefs and a medic swarmed the building within minutes. They began fighting the blaze and helped residents evacuate the premise, according to a release from the Greeley Fire Department.
Three people suffered burn injuries during the incident. The extent of the burns and status is not known.

No firefighters were injured during the containment.
Three families consisting of four people and one dog were displaced by the fire and are currently receiving assistance from the Red Cross, GFD officials said.
The extent of the damage to the building is unknown.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
