Adams County authorities searching for van involved in weekend shooting

Authorities in Adams County are asking for the public to be on the lookout for a vehicle suspected of being involved in a shooting that left two injured Friday night. 

Officials say the vehicle in question has been described as a white Ford Econoline van that was last seen with a ladder on its roof. 

Two people shot in vehicle in Adams County

Deputies from the Adams County Sheriff’s Department said they believe the van was involved in a shooting Friday at 7255 N. Pecos St. that left a man and a woman with life-threatening injuries.

Deputies were dispatched the area of 7th Avenue and Pecos Street around 8:45 p.m. on Friday evening after reports of a motor vehicle accident.

Upon their arrival, deputies observed that a red Nissan Sentra struck a utility pole, but then located a man outside the vehicle on the pavement with apparent gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen, ACSO officials said. 

A woman victim was found inside the vehicle and was shot in the hip area.

Both victims were transported to Denver Health with life-threatening injuries.
