One dead, another seriously injured following fiery crash in Commerce City
A woman is dead and another person suffered serious injuries following a crash in Commerce City.

Commerce City police officers were dispatched to the site of a two-vehicle accident at East 104th Avenue and Tower Road just northeast of the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge at 12:24 a.m. Saturday, said Cmdr. Kendall Grove, a spokesperson for the Commerce City Police Department.
One of the vehicles was on fire when the officers arrived to the scene.

Investigators learned through the initial investigation that a white SUV was heading north along Tower Road, while a black SUV was traveling east on East 104th Avenue.
Police said the white SUV struck the black SUV in the intersection.
The driver of the black SUV, a female, was pronounced dead on-scene, while the other driver, a female, was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, Grove said.

Information regarding the deceased will be released at a later date by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.
Investigators are trying to determine whether alcohol played a role in the accident.
An investigation is ongoing.
