Adams County School District 14 announces two finalists for superintendent position
The Adams County School District 14 is inviting students, parents and staff to a virtual community forum that will introduce the finalists for the district’s superintendent position.
The forum will be live streamed on the district’sYouTube channel on Tuesday at 6 p.m. and will introduce the possible finalists to the community.
Following the meeting the community will be asked to share feedback with the district’s Board of Education through May 7. The final interviews will be conducted on the same day the feedback period ends.
The two finalists are:
• Karla Loria who currently services as the chief academic officer for the Clark County School District in Nevada, which is the fifth-largest district in the United States.
• Stephen Linkous who is currently the chief of staff for the Kansas City, Kansas, Public Schools.
The two finalists were chosen out of a field of 34 professionals who applied for the position.
Following the final interviews, the district’s BOE will announce the finalist during a special meeting on May 17. Whoever is chosen will assume the position beginning July 1.
