Aurora police investigate early Easter morning shooting

The Aurora Police Department is investigating after a man was shot early Sunday morning in northwest Aurora.

The shooting happened about 3:25 a.m. near East Montview Boulevard and Dallas Street, blocks from Stanley Marketplace.

Police said the victim was approached by two unknown men who then shot him.

After the shooting, the victim drove himself to a hospital. He is expected to survive his injuries, police said.

The motive for the shooting is unclear. Police said the victim did not know either of the suspects.

No arrests have been made. No suspect information is available.

Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can be anonymous and are eligible for a $2,000 reward.
