DCSD to host community forum introducing finalist for superintendent position

The Douglas County School District is inviting students, parents and staff to a virtual community forum introducing the finalists for the district’s superintendent position.

The forum will be live streamed and available to watch on the district’s YouTube channel beginning at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The district’s school board has been working in partnership with Fredrick Andrews, a search firm during the selection process. After vetting over 100 possible candidates the board has trimmed the possible options down to four people, according to a release from DSCD.

Finalists Samuel Jarman, Christopher Page, Corey Wise and Mary Young will be given the opportunity to introduce themselves to the community and answer questions.

The following week, on April 20, the school board is expected to announce the next superintendent, according to the release.

DCSD is the third largest school district in Colorado and serves more than 63,000 students at 89 schools.
