Family reunites with fire crew after baby born on lawn in Douglas County
Maggie Reilly and her husband didn’t make it to the hospital to have their baby there on March 7. In fact, they didn’t even make it out of the driveway.
About 2 a.m., the expecting Douglas County mother woke up to some contractions and shortly woke up her husband to pack and head to the hospital.
She may be small, but Wren Reilly had something to say about when and under what circumstances she would make her entrance into the world. Around 2 am on Sunday, March 7 was the time & date. The place- on her parent’s front lawn in Roxborough. 1/3 pic.twitter.com/41oFayqVrJ

However, baby Wren was not going to wait, so the family called 911 and just two blocks away was Metro Fire Medic 13, West Metro Fire Rescue officials said.
The medical crew was joined by Engine 15 and within two minutes of their arrival, baby Wren was born on the family’s front lawn in Roxborough Park.
They were joined by Engine 15 and within about two minutes of being on scene, Wren was born. The family stopped by Station 15 today for a visit with the crew. Even though she was the center of attention, Wren slept through most of it. 3/3 pic.twitter.com/YpvmaZhPuU

On Saturday, the Reillys visited with the crew that helped deliver their 1-month-old, and despite garnishing most of the attention, was asleep most of the visit, officials said.
