A jury found the final of four defendants guilty Thursday for the killing of Denver resident Timothy Anderson in 2017.
Dmarco Blake, 21, was found guilty of first-degree murder and two counts of first-degree burglary after a day and a half of jury deliberation. He was immediately sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 40 years, according to the release from the Denver District Attorney’s Office.
“I am pleased that the jury found Dmarco Blake guilty of murdering Tim Anderson and hope that those who knew and love him feel a sense of justice,” said Denver District Attorney Beth McCann in the release.
Blake, who was 17 at the time of the murder, fled to California following the crime. He was apprehended and found guilty of burglary and assault while in California before being extradited to Denver in October 2018.
In 2018, two co-defendants of Blake, Demond Hamilton and Keione Clark, were also sentenced in connection to the murder.
Hamilton was found guilty by a jury of felony murder and two counts of first-degree burglary and was sentenced to life in prison without a possibility of parole.
Clark pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree murder and is currently serving a 45 year prison sentence.
Additionally, a juvenile also pleaded guilty to accessory to murder, aggravated robbery and to being an aggravated juvenile offender.
