One person in custody following shooting in Jefferson County

One man is in custody following a shooting in Morrison on Saturday.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office, deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the 4500 block of South Braun Way. Deputies announced the incident at 2:30 p.m. Saturday on Twitter.

Upon their arrival, they located a person who sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital. 

Deputies said one man is in custody and there is no threat to the public. 

Information regarding the current status of the victim and identity of the suspect has not been released. 

An investigation is ongoing.
