Melania Trump rings in Women’s History Month with NFT self-portrait collection

Conservative social media network Parler announced a new set of Melania Trump non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, to commemorate Women’s History Month.

These NFTs give buyers the opportunity to own the original file of digital art.

In this case, there are 3,000 editions across the three portraits, yet again created by artist Marc-Antoine Coulon.

Since “Parler is powering the platform,” it made the announcement in a post Tuesday.

The collection includes 1,500 editions of the portrait titled “Strong,” 500 editions of “Confident,” and 1,000 editions of “Inspirational” at $150 each.

Every purchase is randomized, however. “Collectors will enjoy an element of surprise because the artwork will be revealed only after the purchase,” Parler said.

The former first lady’s NFT is minted by Solana blockchain protocol, which means buyers pledge part of their purchase to the computer that runs the blockchain software that is making the transaction possible.
