Denver residents can expect a 40% chance of snow, mainly after 5 p.m. Increasing clouds, with a high near 43, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. South southwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming north northeast in the afternoon. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Snow showers will develop over the mountains this afternoon with just a light accumulation possible. Snow will be likely tonight over mountains, foothills, and plains as the next Pacific system moves across the region. Most locations will see less than 2 inches of snow. A few locations may pick up more than 2 inches of snow, leading to snow covered and slippery roadways.
