Snow totals following Dec. 26 storm in Colorado on Christmas night
A second overnight snowstorm hit the Denver metro area in as many days, prompting a winter weather advisory early on Tuesday morning and blizzard conditions on the Eastern Plains.
The storm also caused post-holiday flight delays at Denver International Airport.
Portions of eastern Douglas County were hit the hardest, with the town of Elizabeth recording 7 inches of snowfall overnight on Christmas night. Most of the Denver metro saw totals ranging from 2-4 inches, with lighter accumulations present in northern suburbs like Arvada and Thornton.
As of 10 a.m. on Dec. 24, here were the snow totals for the last 24 hours in Colorado, according to the National Weather Service:
