Disabled light rail train leads to headaches for Denver commuters
The Regional Transportation District (RTD) has made changes to the E and H light rail schedules while a train remains disabled on the tracks, Denver Gazette media partner 9News reported Monday.
A light rail train has been disabled between Yale and Southmoor stations since at least early Friday.
According to RTD, trains are operating on a 45-minute frequency between trips and moving on a single track through the area between these stations.
RTD said that train movement will be suspended between Yale and Belleview stations from 10 a.m. until approximately 2 p.m. Monday while crews recover the disabled train. Bus shuttles will support E Line service between Yale and Bellevue stations.
H Line service will be suspended south of Yale during the work. H Line customers should take the R Line to Bellevue and access bus shuttle service. RTD said regularly scheduled service on the E and H lines will resume once the train is recovered.
Bus shuttle boarding locations:
- Yale Station: Board bus shuttle at Gate A
- Bellevue Station: Board bus shuttle at Gate A
Light rail service will continue between RidgeGate and Bellevue stations and north of Yale Station. Boarding at affected stations is on the northbound track.
