Arrests made in case of missing children whose remains were found in Pueblo storage unit, suitcase
A man and a woman have been identified as suspects in the homicides of two young children in Pueblo.
The investigation began when police discovered the remains of a young girl inside a metal container in a storage facility on West Sixth Street in Pueblo on Jan. 20. The remains, which had been encased in concrete inside the container, were later identified through DNA testing as Yesenia Dominguez.

The girl and another child, Jesus Dominguez Jr., had been missing since 2018, though police say no missing person report was filed. The girl was 3 at the time of her disappearance, and the boy was 5.
Pueblo police identified Corena Rose Minjarez, 36, and Jesus Dominguez, 35, as persons of interest in the case. In a interview before the identification, police say they were told that the children were in Arizona, but that the lead went nowhere.
The remains of Dominguez Jr. were found in what police say was a vehicle belonging to Minjarez at a Pueblo scrap yard on Feb. 6. The boy’s remains were found in a suitcase in the car, according to PPD.
Police executed a warrant for first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse for Minjarez and Dominguez on Feb. 15. Minjarez was arrested and is held at the Pueblo County Detention Center on a $2 million bond. Police said Saturday that Dominguez has been taken into custody.
