1 dead following Friday Denver shooting

One man is dead after a shooting in the Ruby Hill neighborhood of Denver Friday morning. 

Police responded to a call of a shooting in the 1600 block of South Federal Boulevard around 7:30 a.m., according to a social media post by the Denver Police Department. Upon arrival, responders found one man suffering from gunshot wounds.

The department did not know the extent of the victim’s injuries at the time.

Police quickly announced that the victim had died at the scene in a follow-up post around 8 a.m., sparking a potential homicide investigation. 

Investigations are ongoing and officers are working to develop suspect information, according to the department. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
