RTD bus driver job fair offers $26/hr plus $4,000 signing bonus

Have a hankering to be a bus driver? Looking for a job starting at $25.96 an hour with a $4,000 signing bonus? There’s good news.

The Regional Transportation District wants you to come to its career fair at the Crowne Plaza Denver Airport Convention Center from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. Thursday, March 14.

“The bus operator role is a career that people can retire from or start as a second career. It provides a needed service for the community and contributes to the agency’s mission of making lives better through connections. RTD invests in its employees and trains them for future leadership roles within RTD and the transit industry,” according to a RTD news release. “Candidates who attend can learn more about bus operator benefits and opportunities, including touring a RTD bus in the parking lot for a closer look during the event.”

Starting pay begins at $25.95, includes a $4,000 signing bonuses, paid training, including for a commercial drivers license and help getting through the permit. To qualify as a candidate, a domestic driver’s license valid for at least two years is required.

Applying on site may earn qualified candidates a same-day offer letter. Training can start as early as April 1 or April 15

RTD officials said many positions at RTD are eligible for a hiring bonus.
