RTD to temporarily suspend L Line service March 18-22 for safety improvements

Downtown light rail riders should be aware that the Regional Transportation District’s (RTD) L line is suspending service from Monday through end of service at 10:07 p.m., Friday. Normal service will resume on Saturday.

RTD will be performing safety improvements during the shutdown.

Work will take place every day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting.

The service interruption only involves the L line running between 16th & California and 30th & Downing.

All D and H line trains will run on their normal routes serving downtown stations at 16th & California, 18th & California, 16th & Stout, and 18th & Stout streets.

Customers are encouraged to use bus route 43 as an alternative.

The 30th & Downing light rail station is available for bus routes 12, 28 and 38.

RTD’s Next Ride web app is available to plan customer’s trips, view other travel options and elect to receive Service Alerts.
