Speedier concessions lines, new menu items on tap at Coors Field this season
Spring is here, and nothing says “Goodbye winter!” more than heading to Denver to see the Rockies take on the Tampa Bay Rays on April 5 in their first home game of the season.
And when the gates open to fans at Coors Field, be sure to make your way to the concession stands to try new tastes on the stadium’s food lineup and check out the ways technology has made getting those tasty treats faster.
Vegan fans on game day will certainly shake their broccoli in gratitude this season as the stadium introduces a new plant-based food stand.
“After months of research and testing, the Aramark culinary team has created a unique, vegan menu with a robust flavor profile that mimics the taste and texture of real meat,” said Richard Grab, director of culinary innovation for Aramark Sports + Entertainment, in a press release. Aramark is the company that manages dining options at Coors Field.

The concept will be called Better-Off Burgers at Section 115 and it will sell plant-based burgers, chips and shakes. Aramark said the plan aligns with its goal of catering to diverse customers and “reduce the greenhouse gas emissions associated with the food it serves.”
The menu will include items like traditional and specialty burgers with plant-based patties and shakes made with tahini.
Here are the items on Better-Off Burgers’ upcoming menu:

Getting your hands on food and drinks is easier this year too, thanks to Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology. It was a hit last year when it was introduced to Rockies fans and the concept is expanding at Coors Field this year. The experience allows guests to walk into the location, grab the concessions they want and walk out. By automatically tallying items shoppers take off shelves, payment is processed when they exit, enabling fans to avoid waiting in line.
