Motorless Morning returning to Garden of the Gods

Ahead of the busy season, silence will prevail once more at Garden of the Gods Park.

Another Motorless Morning is set for April 28, when cars will be barred from the park. From 5 a.m.-noon that Sunday, the road looping the Garden will be reserved for people on foot and self-powered wheels, including bikes, skates and skateboards.

Parking will be available at the the large lot beside the main entrance (the corner of 30th Street and Gateway Road), the visitor and nature center (1805 30th Street) and Garden of the Gods Trading Post (324 Beckers Lane, Manitou Springs).

Motorless Morning has been a seasonal tradition since 2018. Two years later, fanfare resulted in more regular, car-free mornings mid-week, however shorter than the seven-hour Motorless Morning: Early Bird Hikes and Bikes.

Early Bird Hikes and Bikes are set for the following Wednesdays from 5 a.m.-8 a.m.: May 29, June 26, July 31, Aug. 28 and Sept. 25. Skateboards are not allowed during those mornings.
