Denver weather: Mostly sunny on Monday, with a chance of afternoon showers
Denver residents should expect sunny and mild conditions – with a slight chance of afternoon rain – on Monday, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Monday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high of about 73 degrees and light winds, the weather agency said. There will be a 20% chance of showers after 1 p.m.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected over the mountains and the foothills this afternoon and early evening with isolated showers and thunderstorms over the immediate plains. Small hail and wind gusts to 40 mph are possible in and near the thunderstorms.
Monday night is expected to be partly cloudy, with an overnight low of 51 degrees, NWS said.

Tuesday: A 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 78. South-southwest wind 7 to 13 mph becoming north northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.
Wednesday: A slight chance of showers before 9 a.m., then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 9 a.m. and noon, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after noon. High near 63. Northwest wind 6 to 14 mph becoming northeast in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
Thursday: A 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 71.
Friday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 77.
