Denver weather: Sunny, with highs in the upper 70s to kick off the weekend

A warm, sunny start to your weekend! Clouds will increase as we head into the afternoon with scattered late-day showers and storms moving in.

We are waking up to lots of sunshine. That sun will help warm afternoon highs into the upper 70s and lower 80s. Midday, we’ll watch for cloud cover to move in, followed by scattered late-day storms. None of these storms are expected to become severe, we’ll just watch for a quick shower, gusty winds and lightning/thunder. Overnight lows remain in the lower 50s.

Sunday, sunny skies return, with afternoon temperatures soaring into the 80s. Dry weather will takeover for the day, so enjoy your outdoor activities!

Highs drop back into the mid 70s, Monday, with another round of late-day storm chances.

By Tuesday, a cool front will push into the state, bringing thick clouds throughout the day, cooler highs, dropping into the middle 60s, and chances for widespread showers, isolated storms.

Sunshine returns to start our Wednesday, allowing highs to return to the lower 70s. But afternoon/evening storm chances return to the forecast, as well.

Moving into the end of our next workweek, sunny, dry weather moves in. Highs stay just above average, hovering in the middle to upper 70s, next Thursday and Friday.
