Windy conditions delay, cancel more flights at DIA for second day
For a second straight day, over 500 flights in and out of Denver International Airport were were delayed or canceled du to strong winds at Denver’s airport Tuesday.
As of 9:30 a.m., 576 flights were delayed and 37 were canceled, according to FlightAware.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a ground delay at the airport due to wind with arrivals delayed on average 69 minutes, according to the FAA.
Denver International Airport officials said travelers should check their airline for the latest flight status information before heading to the airport.
On Monday, a high of 1,230 flights were delayed and 52 were canceled at one point at DIA due to wind, according to FlightAware.

The National Weather Service in Boulder said windy conditions, although not as strong as Monday, will continue to be a factor for travelers on Tuesday before calming after sunset, with wind gusts between 40-50 mph across the eastern Plains of Colorado.
