59-year-old woman dies in Louisville pedestrian crash
A 59-year-old woman was struck and killed during a car crash in Louisville on Monday evening.
Louisville police responded to a crash at the intersection of Sagebrush Way and Via Appia Way around 6 p.m., according to a press release from the department.
A 65-year-old woman was driving eastbound on Via Appia Way when she allegedly struck Judy Florian, who was identified by the Boulder County Coroner’s Office on Tuesday afternoon.
The driver remained at the scene to assist the investigation and no charges have been announced as of Tuesday.
The department did not release any information regarding the nature of the crash.
There were 127 crash deaths involving pedestrians in the state last year, according to data from the Colorado Department of Transportation’s dashboard.
There have been 36 so far this year, the data shows.
