Bicyclist dead following Tuesday morning I-76 crash

Eastbound lanes of Interstate 76 were closed in Arvada Tuesday morning following a fatal crash near Sheridan Boulevard.

The crash led to an hours-long eastbound closure of I-76 between Sheridan and Wadsworth boulevards.

Around 7:30 a.m., a tow truck and a front loader arrived at the scene to help clean up the wreck.

The crash was officially cleaned up and the lanes were reopened around 8:30 a.m., according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
