Commerce City police chase ends in Aurora with 2 dead, 2 arrested

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Two people are dead and two were arrested after a pursuit involving Commerce City Police ended in Aurora.

Police said officers responded after technology detected gunshots in the area of East 65th Place and Monaco Street, where they found a passenger in the back of a vehicle reported stolen out of Thornton with a gunshot wound. They also later found a person dead in the front yard of a home in that area.

The vehicle with the gunshot victim inside left the scene, and officers pursued until the driver crashed in Aurora.

The passenger with the gunshot wound was produced dead.

Two other people in the car, the driver and another passenger, were taken into custody. Police said they suffered injuries related to the crash.
