Suspects allegedly fire at Aurora police during stolen-vehicle pursuit
Multiple suspects allegedly fired shots at Aurora police officers during a stolen-vehicle pursuit Thursday evening in Aurora.
Officers responded to a report of a burglary in the 24200 block of East Mexico Avenue around 8 p.m., Thursday evening, according to a social media post by the Aurora Police Department. The victim claimed to have had their vehicle stolen from their garage.

Officers later found the vehicle in the area of 23rd Avenue and Dayton Street around 9 p.m. Police began following the vehicle, then “several” shots were fired at the police vehicles from the suspect car.
A pursuit began, going through both Denver and Aurora.
The pursuit eventually ended when the suspect vehicle blew out a tire around Montview Boulevard and Cathay Street. Multiple suspects then ran from the car, police said.
Both Denver and Aurora police officers searched the area for the suspects. Around 11:30 p.m., one adult and multiple minors were arrested. One of the minors was taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries.
Officers also recovered multiple firearms.
Police did not fire shots at the car during the pursuit and no officers were injured during the incident.
