Parents, 2 dogs found dead in Conifer home after daughter’s 911 call
A man, woman and two dogs were found dead inside a locked Conifer-area home on Sunday from what appeared to be gunshot wounds, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
In a news release Monday morning, authorities said the victim’s daughter called 911 after she failed to reach her parents by phone.
When visiting her parents, sheriff’s officials said the daughter couldn’t get inside, as the doors were locked, but she saw inside a window that her father was lying unresponsive on the ground. She then called 911.
At 6:45 p.m., deputies responded to a home at the 12100 block of Bear Park Road in the Kings Valley neighborhood, according to the sheriff’s office.
Upon arrival, firefighters forced their way into the home and found the daughter’s parents, both 67-years-old, dead from what appeared to be gunshot wounds, sheriff’s officials said.
The family’s two dogs were also found dead by apparent gunshot wounds.
Authorities said they are not looking for any suspects.
