Aurora police looking for woman wanted in connection to possible kidnapping

Officers with the Aurora Police Department are looking for a woman connected to a possible kidnapping Sunday evening.

At about 5:20 p.m., a teen girl walked into a coffee shop near East Colfax Avenue and North Scranton Street and asked to use the bathroom, according to police. That’s just east of Peoria Street along East Colfax Avenue.

Moments later, a woman came into the business and forced the teen out of the store and into a blue two-toned Ford F-150, police said. The truck appeared to be missing the driver’s side running board, according to police. Police were unable to get a license plate number for the truck.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have information about the incident to contact the Aurora Police Major Crimes Unit at 303-739-6041.
