RTD A line suspended after train hits, injures scooter rider
The Regional Transportation District A line suspended service Sunday morning after a commuter train hit a man on a stand-up scooter, according to the Denver Police Department.
The man, who was struck around 1 a.m., was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, according to the police.
Police said a man was struck around E. 42nd Avenue and N. Clay Street. The area is closest to the station at East 40th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard.
Police said to expect delays in the area Sunday morning as authorities continue investigating the crash.
On the agency’s website, RTD officials said the A Line is affected eastbound, toward Denver International Airport, until further notice.
As of 9 a.m. Sunday, the police investigation into the crash is impacting the following stops:
