Former Aurora soccer coach charged with child sexual assault over last year
A former youth soccer coach at Aurora West College Preparatory Academy (AWCPA) is facing charges regarding alleged sexual misconduct that occurred over the last year.
The 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office charged 67-year-old Ulrich Dahm of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust — a class 3 felony — after allegedly subjecting a female student under the age of 18 to sexual contact between Sept. 6, 2024, and Feb. 7, according to a Friday press release from the district attorney’s office.
No further details regarding the charge were released by the district attorney’s office.
Dahm had worked for Aurora Public Schools since 2018 and his pre-employment background check did not indicate any prior inappropriate behavior or criminal activity, according to a letter from the school’s principal, Ryan Adams, to family and staff.
Dahm is no longer employed by the district, according to the letter.
“This allegation is deeply disturbing, and my focus will remain on supporting our AWCPA community,” Adams said.
