Denver street department closes lanes in LoDo till the end of March

Those heading downtown to enjoy the city during the beginning of spring should beware of lane closures and traffic slowdowns in the Lower Downtown (LoDo) neighborhood.

The Denver Department of Transportation and Infrastructure will be closing single lanes throughout the area to complete “critical sanitary sewer line improvements” between Tuesday and March 31, according to a news release from the department.

The closures will occur on both 19th and 20th streets between Larimer and Blake streets, the department said.

One lane in each direction will remain open on each road, but alternate routes are advised due to increased traffic.

Single lane closures also will be in place on Blake and Larimer streets at 19th and 20th to support the work being “completed as quickly as possible,” according to the release.

The work is planned to be done before the Colorado Rockies home opener at Coors Field on Friday, April 4.
