Where good news shines

The Colorado State men’s track and field team completed a sweep of the Mountain West indoor and outdoor titles by winning the latter Saturday.

The Rams held off runner-up New Mexico by a margin of 192.5 to 171.5.

“It’s what we do,” said CSU coach Brian Bedad, who was named Mountain West Coach of the Year. “We’ve been preaching having joy when you compete, no doubts, compete with freedom, be aggressive, support your teammates. It’s just fun to see it all come together.”

The Colorado State women’s team won fur gold medals and finished second to New Mexico in the outdoor championships.
