Movie rundown for the weekend through May 18: ‘Final Destination Bloodlines’ opens

“23 – Iravai Moodu” — (Thriller, not rated, 130 minutes). Inspired by a true story, violence, justice and societal unrest are explored through the 1992 Ksunduru massacre, 1993 Chilakaluripet bus burning and 1997 Jubilee Hills bomb blasts.
“Ateez World Tour: Towards the Light – Will to Power” — (Music, not rated, 126 minutes). Ateez’s monumental world tour on screen from Seoul.
“Final Destination Bloodlines” — (Horror, R, 110 minutes). After having a recurring nightmare, a college student returns home to get help from the one person who can break the cycle and save her family from a horrific fate.
“Friendship” — (Comedy, R, 100 minutes). Two lives are threatened to be ruined when suburban dad falls for his new neighbor and tries to make an adult male friend.
“Hurry Up Tomorrow” — (Thriller, R, 105 minutes). A chance encounter with a mysterious stranger leads an insomniac musician on a journey that makes him question everything he knows about himself.
“The Metropolitan Opera: Salome” — (Opera, 155 minutes). A live broadcast of opera performed at The Metropolitan Opera.
“Things Like This” — (Comedy, not rated, 98 minutes). It seems like everything has aligned for two guys with the same name when they start falling in love, but fate may have a different path.

“A Minecraft Movie” — (Action, PG, 101 minutes). Grade: C, Katie Walsh. Four misfits are pulled into a mysterious and bizarre cubic land.
“The Accountant 2” — (Action, R, 132 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. When an old acquaintance is killed, Wolf recruits his estranged brother to help him find the murderer.
“The Amateur” — (Action, PG-13, 123 minutes). Grade: C-, Katie Walsh. After his wife is killed in a London terrorist attack, a CIA cryptographer is determined to find those responsible for her death.
“Becoming Led Zeppelin” — (Documentary, PG-13, 121 minutes). Tells about each band member’s musical influences and careers before they released the band’s first two albums.
“Clown in a Cornfield” — (Horror, R, 96 minutes). Grade: C, Katie Walsh. After the Baypen Corn Syrup Factory burns down, the town of Kettle Springs falls on hard times and a sinister clown, once a symbol of success for the town, emerges to cleanse the town of its burdens, one victim at a time.
“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba — The Movie: Mugen Train” — (Animated, R, 117 minutes). While on a mission on the Mugen Train, Tanjiro and his friends face a nightmare on the train where 40 people have disappeared.
“Disney’s Snow White” — (Musical, PG, 109 minutes). In this live-action adaptation of the 1937 film “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” a princess and seven dwarfs try to save the kingdom from her stepmother, the evil queen.
“Fight or Flight” — (Action, R, 97 minutes). Grade: C, Katie Walsh. A mercenary must find a way to protect himself and the woman he was sent to track down from the passengers on a flight from Bangkok to San Francisco who are trying to kill them both.
“HIT: The Third Case” — (Action, not rated, 150 minutes). A HIT officer from Visakhapatnam, India, named Arjun Sarkaar has his skills and mental strength tested when he is sent to Jammu and Kashmir to investigate a series of murders.
“Juliet & Romeo” — (Drama, PG-13, 121 minutes). An original pop musical based on the story of William Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet.”
“Kiki’s Delivery Service” Studio Ghibli Fest 2025 — (Animation, G, 107 minutes). A young witch begins her mandatory year of independent life and supports herself by using her broom to run an air courier service.
“The King of Kings” — (Animation, PG, 100 minutes). The story of Jesus Christ is seen through the eyes of a child and told by Charles Dickens.
“The Legend of Ochi” — (Adventure, PG, 96 minutes). Although a girl who lives in a remote village on the island of Carpathia has been taught to fear an animal species known as ochi, when she finds a wounded baby ochi that has been left behind, she goes on a quest to bring it home.
“Money Kisses” — (Comedy, not rated, 100 minutes). When two sisters are deep into debt and may lose everything, they come up with a plan to conquer the money kisses from two young billionaires.
“Rosario” — (Horror, R, 88 minutes). During a severe snowstorm, Rosario is attacked by supernatural entities while she waits for an ambulance to pick up her grandmother’s body.
“Shadow Force” — (Action, R, 104 minutes). After leaving Shadow Force, Kyrah and Isaac go on the run with their son because a unit of the Shadow Force wants to kill them.
“Show Me Your Glory” — (Documentary, not rated, 112 minutes). Explores true supernatural accounts, miracle research and answers to prayers.
“Sinners” — (Horror, R, 137 minutes). Grade: A-, Katie Walsh. When twin brothers return to their hometown to leave their troubled lives behind and start over, they find that evil is waiting to welcome them back.
“Stelios” — (Biography, not rated, 132 minutes). Explores the music, hardships and devoted fans of the Greek singer Stelios Kazantzidis.
“Subham” — (Horror, not rated, 125 minutes). On their wedding night, the groom tries to project a tough persona when his bride reveals at supernatural side after watching a TV show.
“The Surfer” — (Suspense, R, 103 minutes). Grade: B-, Katie Walsh. A man is pushed to his breaking point when he takes his son to the beach where he surfed during his childhood and is angered and humiliated by a group of locals.
“Thunderbolts*” — (Action, PG-13, 126 minutes). Grade: B-, Katie Walsh. While on a dangerous mission, an unconventional team of antiheroes must confront their dark pasts when they get captured in a death trap.
“Tourist Family” — (Comedy, not rated, 150 minutes). A disconnected neighborhood is transformed into a vibrant community when a Sri Lankan family moves there to make a fresh start in India.
“Unko Sweater” — (Romance, not rated, 133 minutes). Takes the audience on a journey of love and human connections.
“Until Dawn” — (Drama, R, 117 minutes). Grade: B-, Katie Walsh. A group of friends trapped in a time loop must survive until dawn to escape mysterious foes trying to kill them.
“Warfare” — (Action, R, 95 minutes minutes). Grade: A-, Adam Graham. The story of the chaos and brotherhood of war as told through the memory of a group of Navy SEALs who embarked on a dangerous mission in Ramadi, Iraq.
“The Wiz” re-release — (Musical, G, 134 minutes). After Harlem schoolteacher Dorothy is transported to an urban fantasy land called Oz, she meets up with Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion while searching for the Wiz, who can help her get back to Manhattan.
