Aurora police investigate fatal stabbing along near Colfax bus stop

The Aurora Police Department is investigating a stabbing that killed a man near a Colfax Avenue bus station along Peoria Street early Sunday.

The Peoria Street stabbing took place before 6:30 a.m., when authorities found a man unresponsive with stab wounds at a bus stop south of Colfax Avenue, according to a news release.

The man died at the scene, police said.

No arrests have been made.

It is the second fatal stabbing Aurora police are investigating on Sunday morning, after a man was fatally stabbed near the 1500 block of Moline St, over four hours prior.

Whether the two stabbings are related remains to be determined, according to police.
