Denver expands campaign finance transparency with Spanish translation

For the first time, Denver residents will have access to more election and campaign data in Spanish.

SearchLight Denver is the City and County of Denver’s online platform that houses campaign finance data related to municipal candidates and ballot measures as well as lobbying activity and ethics disclosures for elected and appointed city officials.

“This update removes a key barrier for thousands of voters and community members who want to understand how money flows in local elections — or who may want to run for office themselves,” said Denver Clerk and Recorder Paul D. López. “It’s part of our continued commitment to ensure all Denverites have the tools to better democratize public data.”

To access the Spanish version of SearchLight Denver, visit https://denver.maplight.com/public and then click the “Spanish” button at the top right of the screen. To return to English, click “Inglés.”
