Denver weather: One more day of rain showers Friday across the city, eastern plains
Another day of rain is forecast around metro Denver on Friday, with afternoon storms probable. Large hail is possible southeast of Denver, but can’t be ruled out either.
Denver residents cans expect a chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Today’s high will be near 70. Light and variable winds become northeast between 5 to 8 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
Tonight expect showers and thunderstorms, likely before 9 p.m., then a chance of showers between 9 p.m. and midnight.
It’ll be mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 49. Northeast winds around 6 mph become south southwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
The weekend’s forecast shows a mixed bag of sunshine and warmth, and sunshine then storms, as rain showers return to close out the weekend.
Further chances for rain are forecast to start next week, however, high temperatures will start staying in the 80s each day going forward for the foreseeable future.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 81. South southwest wind around 6 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 16 mph.
Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 75. West wind around 7 mph becoming east in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.
Monday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 76.
Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 83.
