FBI Denver Collegiate Academy opens applications for students
Applications are now open for the Federal Bureau of Investigation Denver Collegiate Academy.
The free, all-day workshop takes place on Aug. 1, 2025, in Denver and aims to give students a deeper look at the criminal justice system.
Those selected will spend a day with special agents and staff learning through hands-on and classroom activities.
Lessons will offer a look into criminal and cyber investigations, as well as evidence collection techniques and tactical operations.
The day course aims to make students “more aware of the challenges their communities face and better understand how the FBI serves their community,” according to FBI Denver.
Students with an interest in the FBI and careers in federal law enforcement are encouraged to apply. Undergraduate college students and those seeking advanced degrees are eligible.
The academy’s application process requires an essay, which will be reviewed to provide insight into the student’s motivations for attending
According to FBI Denver, applications should “highlight the student’s school activities and community involvement, which will be an important part of the criteria used to evaluate applicants.”
The application process is meant to allow for the identification of a diverse pool of students who have leadership skills and an interest in the FBI.
Applications, supporting essay, and release form must be received by the FBI Denver Field Office by 5 p.m. on July 7, 2025. Late applications will not be accepted.
Those who are granted a spot in the Collegiate Academy will be notified by July 29, 2025.
