Tats for Tails: Get inked and help critters
Denver animal lovers, get ready to roll up a sleeve — or a pant leg — and help homeless pets by getting some ink.
The Denver Animal Shelter’s popular Tats for Tails event returns from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 28, at Think Tank Tattoo, 172 S. Broadway, Denver.
For a $200 donation, artists will ink your arm or leg with your choice of more than 100 animal-themed pre-drawn designs.

Tattoos are limited to approximately the size of a fist and are typically restricted to the arms and legs, according to event organizers.
Tats for Tails is a cash-only event, and all proceeds benefit the Denver Animal Shelter.
“This event is such a fun way to show off your love for animals while giving back to the shelter,” said Denver Animal Shelter Director Melanie Sobel. “Plus, you walk away with a permanent reminder of the difference you made.”
The “first come, first inked” event raised $12,000 last year, directly supporting the care, shelter, and adoption of animals at DAS.
On-site food from The Brutal Poodle will be available as well as lemonade from Exsqueezeme.
Not ready for ink?
No problem.
Drop by to enjoy music and visit with adoptable pups.
The Denver Animal Shelter is an open-admission shelter that serves nearly 10,000 lost and abandoned pets each year. It accepts animals 365 days a year, 24/7, regardless of age, breed, health, behavior, or physical condition.
