Bicyclist killed in Denver hit-and-run crash

A bicyclist is dead after a hit-and-run crash involving a motorist late Monday in Denver’s Sunnyside neighborhood, police said.

The Denver Police Department is investigating the crash that happened in the area of West 38th Avenue and Tejon Street, according to a post on the department’s official X account shortly before 9 p.m.

The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

No other details, including a suspect or vehicle description, were immediately released.

The cyclist was not immediately identified.
