Denver Police ask for help in identifying hit-and-run driver

The Denver Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying the driver and vehicle involved in a hit and run crash.

The crash occurred on July 13, 2025 around 6 p.m. at the intersection of North Washington Street and East 20th Avenue.

A motorist was traveling southbound and struck a bicyclist crossing at East 20th Avenue.

The cyclist suffered severe injuries, according to the police.

The driver fled the scene of the crash.

Police are searching for the vehicle, which is described as a dark-colored SUV, possibly a Jeep. The suspect’s vehicle may have minor to moderate damage on the driver’s side.

Anyone with information about this crime is encouraged to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for up to $2,000 in reward.
