Denver weather: Monsoon moisture brings more rain Wednesday across the city
Continued monsoonal flow from the south will bring more rain and thunderstorms to metro Denver on Wednesday.
Denver residents can expect a slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. It’ll be partly sunny, with a high near 86.
South winds between 5 to 13 mph become north blowing in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Tonight there’s a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 9 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. North wind 6 to 11 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 17 mph.
Continued afternoon showers on Thursday are forecast, but Friday’s weather dries out and begins to warm up heading into the weekend.
High temperatures on Saturday and Sunday are going to be in the middle- to upper-90s as the monsoon faucet is turned off for a few days.

Thursday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between noon and 3 p.m., then showers and thunderstorms likely after 3 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 85. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Light and variable wind becoming southeast 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 16 mph.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 95.
Sunday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 97.
