One dead following Aurora house-party shooting Sunday

One man is dead after being found shot in the street early morning Sunday in Aurora.

According to the Aurora Police Department, officers initially responded to the 16000 block of East Bails Place at around 12:56 a.m. after receiving multiple calls about a man lying in the roadway.

Upon arrival, police located a man who had been shot, and he was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Investigators determined that the man was attending a party at the residence prior to the shooting.

No other injuries have been reported, but numerous shots were fired at the party, and at least two vehicles and one house sustained damage.

Crime scene investigators recovered numerous shell casings of different calibers at the scene, APD said.

No arrests have been made, and investigators are asking witnesses to submit tips to Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-7867.

The identify of deceased man will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office pending notification of family and an autopsy.

This is the second house party shooting in the metro Denver area in the past two weeks.

19-year-old Silverio Xauier Suniga, was killed July 12, 2025, at an Arapahoe County house party. One 17-year suspect was arrested in that shoot, but Arapahoe County Sheriff Department investigators are still looking for at least one more teenage suspect from the party including a male, 17-or-18 years old, heavy set, 5’10” to 6’ tall, weighing 220 lbs. with blonde hair.
