One dead, one injured in Capitol Hill shooting Friday night
One person is dead and another was injured in a shooting in the Capitol Hill neighborhood Friday night.
The incident occurred in the 1000 block of N. Lincoln Street, just three blocks from the state Capitol, according to social media posts from the Denver Police Department.
Both victims were taken to the hospital, one with serious injuries, police said. That victim was later pronounced dead.
The other victim suffered a minor injury, the department said.
Authorities asked anyone with information about any potential suspect or the circumstances surrounding the shooting to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
